Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, at about 2:15 pm on March 12, the Central Highlands Regional General Hospital received 3 patients (residing in Quang Ngai province) in a state of chest tightness, shortness of breath, red rash, vomiting, swollen face and lips after eating bitter beef ribs with eggplant at M.L. restaurant.
Through examination, doctors diagnosed all 3 patients with grade 2 anaphylaxis and quickly proceeded with treatment and health monitoring.
During the inspection, functional agencies took food samples and sent them to the National Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene Testing (Ministry of Health) for analysis and clarification of the cause.
According to the Dak Lak Provincial Sub-Department of Food Safety and Hygiene, the restaurant violated the regulations on the 3-step inspection regime for food service establishments and was administratively sanctioned according to regulations.
