On the afternoon of May 12, a press conference was held in Hanoi for the 43rd Nhan Dan Newspaper National Table Tennis Championship for the Petro Vietnam - PVCFC Cup in 2025.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Que Dinh Nguyen - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper - said: "This is the most prestigious and largest national top professional tournament in table tennis in Vietnam.
This year, the tournament took place in the general excitement of table tennis when there were improvements in expertise in recent times, attracting the attention of fans nationwide with the achievements at the 31st and 32nd SEA Games. In particular, the remarkable progress of young table tennis athletes shows the potential for development of Vietnamese table tennis.
This year's tournament promises new surprises and breakthroughs with the full participation of Vietnam's top athletes and many promising young rackets, who can create interesting rounds of decline and overthrow in the competition".
The 2025 National Table Tennis Championship attracted the participation of more than 200 athletes from 21 professional table tennis teams from provinces, cities, industries and enterprises nationwide. These include strong table tennis centers such as Hanoi, Hai Duong, Ho Chi Minh City, Khanh Hoa, the Army, CAND-T&T...
Accordingly, athletes will compete in 7 events including men's team - women's team, men's singles - women's singles, men's doubles - women's doubles and mixed doubles.
"This year's tournament creates conditions for athletes to compete to improve their professional qualifications, practice spirit and courage, and at the same time evaluate the training work of provinces, cities and sectors as a standard for selecting athletes to participate in international tournaments, focusing on the 33rd SEA Games", Mr. Phan Anh Tuan - Head of Table Tennis Department of Physical Education and Sports shared.
According to the competition schedule, the 2025 National Table Tennis Championship will take place from May 19 to May 26 at Tien Son Sports Palace, Da Nang city.
