The Ho Chi Minh City Police Men's Volleyball Club will be a newcomer to the 2025 national championship when they won promotion by winning the 2024 national A-class championship. However, the police team is showing great determination to compete for achievements in the upcoming season.
This is proven by the preparations of Ho Chi Minh City Police right before the season. The team's coaching staff was completed and strengthened after former players Le Quang Khanh and Nguyen Van Hanh retired and joined as assistant coaches for Mr. Duong Tan Vinh.
Regarding the player force, the Southern representative has added two players, Nguyen Van Quoc Duy and Quan Trong Nghia. These are two faces who have played outstandingly in recent seasons.
Quan Trong Nghia is currently on the staff of the Mobile Police Command, playing as a main striker. In recent national championship seasons, this player was often loaned to the Ninh Binh men's team to strengthen his performance. He performed well and left a professional mark. Quan Trong Nghia is also a player of the Vietnam men's volleyball team.
Meanwhile, Quoc Duy belongs to Tra Vinh team but has played excellently for The Cong Tan Cang in the last 3 seasons when he was on loan. The opposing setter born in 2001 is a key factor, contributing to helping The Cong Tan Cang regularly appear in the top 3 leading teams in the national volleyball championship.
Both Quoc Duy and Quan Trong Nghia will return to their home team when the team participates in the 2025 national A-class volleyball tournament.
"In the setter position, Ho Chi Minh City Police reinforced players Dinh Van Tu and Pham Thoai Khuong. We did not borrow player Giang Van Duc to strengthen this position. The setter position is an important position so the team focused on preparing carefully. In the past time, the players practiced together to get familiar with the tactics and understand each other in coordination," said coach Duong Tan Vinh.
The captain of the Ho Chi Minh City Police men's team emphasized that the team maintains the highest spirit of solidarity and determination. The rookie of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship aims to play effectively this year.
The 2025 National Volleyball Championship will feature 8 women's teams and 8 men's teams and will still compete in 2 stages like last season. With the current quality players, Ho Chi Minh City Police is considered fully capable of competing for high achievements. The Police team promises to be an unknown factor that will bring many surprises to opponents.
Currently, coach Duong Tan Vinh and his team are practicing actively and will rest near the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025. After the Tet holiday, Quoc Duy and his teammates will start the season by participating in the Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup 2025, taking place in Ninh Binh from March 5 to March 10.
