Self-protection
At the end of the year, the consumption of foods such as meat, fish, candy, alcohol, vegetables, fruits, etc. increases many times compared to normal days. Therefore, consumers only need to be negligent in choosing, processing and preserving food to be able to lead to food poisoning.
Markets in Hai Duong province are bustling with buyers and sellers at the end of the year. Due to high purchasing power, traders import a variety of goods. However, no one knows the origin of the goods and their quality. Therefore, consumers have consciously improved their knowledge of food hygiene and safety.
Ms. Tran Anh (Ngu Phuc commune, Kim Thanh district) went shopping at Kim Anh market and said: "When buying Tet food for my family, I pay more attention to food quality, am careful in choosing food, only buy products with clear origin, ensuring food safety.
For cooked, ready-to-eat foods, I often choose to buy from familiar places where I know the origin. Saying no to dirty food is the way I protect the health of myself and my family."
Having been selling vegetables at Kim Anh market (Kim Thanh district, Hai Duong province) for many years, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong said that consumers are increasingly concerned about food safety, especially during Tet.
"I believe that selling food products that ensure food safety and hygiene not only protects the health of consumers, but is also the responsibility and conscience of the seller, helping to keep their reputation and do business long-term," Ms. Hong shared.
Along with the socio-economic development, the demand for safe food consumption of people is increasing, the number of food production and trading establishments is growing more and more. On the days before Tet, GO! supermarket (Hai Duong city) is crowded with people coming to shop for Tet.
A variety of products for the Lunar New Year market are on display. Many people trust the quality of the products at the supermarket so they choose to come here to buy things.
