Pressure of each coach
Coach Tran Dinh Tien of the South Vietnamese volleyball team announced 18 lists of players who were focused on the first phase of 2025, Van Duy, Ngoc Thuan, Van Hiep, Duy Tuyen, The Khai, Cong Duc, Duc Hoang, Xuan Sinh, Thanh Hai, Duy Phuc, Xuan Truong, Thoai Khuong, Lot screw, Xuan Duc, Quoc Duy, Van Tien, Trong Nghia, Quoc Du. The Vietnam Men's Volleyball Team will train in Da Nang on April 15.
At the end of the Hung Vuong Cup 2025, coach Tran Dinh Tien expressed: "The players of the Vietnam Volleyball Team will continue to train to aim to attend the SEA Games 33. However, we must have careful preparation through each stage so that we can choose 14 people to ensure this task when playing the official SEA Games 33".
Earlier this year, the Department of Physical Training and Sports and Vietnam Volleyball Federation assigned the target to the South team to reach the SEA Games 33 final. Experts said that this was a great pressure for coach Tran Dinh Tien and the students, when they had only 7 months of training to improve their expertise.
With the women's team, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet took the task of winning the 33th SEA Games gold medal. He summoned 20 players for the first professional training of the year.
The squad still has many familiar faces such as Thanh Thuy, Khanh Dang, Kim Thoa, Tra My, Lam Oanh, Kieu Trinh, Pham Thi Hien, Nguyen Thi Phuong, Ly Ly, Bich Tuyen, Nguyen Thi Trinh, Phuong Quynh, Ninh Anh, Dang Thi Hong, Nhu Quynh, Yen Nhi, Anh Thao, Bich Thuy, Nguyen Thi Uyen. The female player will train in Hanoi.
"The target of winning the SEA Games 33 gold medal is a big target and somewhat the team will be under pressure but we have received the target and efforts to play with the highest determination. But first, the whole team must have a thorough preparation of time," coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet exchanged after the end of Hung Vuong Cup 2025.
Can not help but be careful
Currently, Thai, Cambodia, Indonesian, Philippines ... are preparing very actively for their national and female volleyball teams. They are the teams competing directly with Vietnamese and Vietnamese volleyball.
2 coaches Nguyen Tuan Kiet and Tran Dinh Tien have 7 months of professional preparation before attending the SEA Games 33. The South Vietnam Volleyball team attends 3 international tournaments before the 33th SEA Games is the South Asian Club Cup (in Japan, May), AVC Challenge Cup 2025 (Bahrain, June), SEA V.League 2025 (Philippines, Indonesia, July).
Coach Tran Dinh Tien forecasts that the tournament will be an opportunity for the training staff to test all players in the squad for each person to play rubbing his ability.
This year, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team has many international tasks. The tournaments were registered by coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet before coming to the 33th SEA Games including AVC Challenge Cup 2025 (in Vietnam), SEA V.League (in Vietnam, Thailand), World Championship 2025 (Thailand), World U21 championship (Indonesia). The Vietnamese women's volleyball team has many opportunities to win the SEA Games gold medal. However, we always miss the appointment due to the loss of the final against the Thai women's team.
Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet said that Sea V.League 2025 is an important tournament when gathering 4 leading women's teams in Southeast Asia, helping the teams understand the opponent.
Vietnam will take advantage of the opportunity to prepare expertise through each stage of training and rubbing, especially before the home advantage of Thailand at SEA Games 33.
