Hot rewards for Vietnamese athletes who won the first SEA Games 33 gold medal

    Vietnamese sports won their first gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games when Nguyen Thi Huong and Diep Thi Huong won the women's double boat event in the 500m.

    The two Vietnamese rowers demonstrated their outstanding performance throughout the race, maintaining a stable speed and coordinating smoothly to finish first with a time of 2 minutes 06 seconds 486.

    This result helped them create a clear gap compared to the athletes from Thailand (2:009 second 783) and Indonesia (2:006:047)), thereby bringing home the first gold medal for the Vietnamese team.

    Head of the delegation Nguyen Hong Minh gave the two athletes a "hot" bonus of 10 million VND.

    Previously, canoeing also brought an optimistic signal when Vo Duy Thanh - Do Thi Thanh Thao won the silver medal in the 500m mixed doubles kayak event, only behind the Singapore team.

    This silver medal became an important spiritual boost, contributing to the spectacular breakthrough of Nguyen Thi Huong - Diep Thi Huong in the final round.

    The opening gold medal is expected to be a strong motivation, helping the Vietnamese Sports delegation to be more excited in the remaining competition days at the 33rd SEA Games.
