On the evening of September 27, LPB Ninh Binh club won 3-1 against Kuanysh VC (Kazakhstan) in the semi-finals of the 2024 Asian Volleyball Club Championship. This result helped the Vietnamese representative advance to the final match, meeting again with opponent NEC Red Rockets (Japan).
According to the regulations, the top two teams of the 2024 Asian Club Championship will qualify for the 2024 FIFA Club World Cup, which will take place in China in December this year. Therefore, coach Thai Thanh Tung's team is sure to have a place in the world-class tournament.
Currently, LPB Ninh Binh is one of eight volleyball teams that have been confirmed to compete in China later this year, along with NEC Red Rockets (Japan), Vero Volley Milano (Italy), Imoco Conegliano (Italy), Gerdau/Minas (Brazil), Praia Clube (Brazil), Zamalek SC (Egypt). The remaining spot is reserved for host China, but the country has not yet determined which club will participate.

With LPB Ninh Binh participating in the world tournament, Vietnam's number 1 setter Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen will have the opportunity to face the world's number 1 setter Paola Egonu.
Paola Egonu, born in 1998, is a star in the Italian women's volleyball team. She is an important member of the national team that won the championship at the 2024 Paris Olympics as well as the 2024 Volleyball Nations League (VNL). Paola Egonu was also awarded the MVP title (best player of the tournament) in both tournaments.
The Italian spiker has won the award for the 16th time in the volleyball tournament (both at the national team and club levels), becoming the athlete with the most MVP titles in volleyball history at the age of 26.
Bich Tuyen has been compared many times with Paola Egonu as both are opposing setsters with very strong attacking power, able to reach speeds of over 100km/h.
Therefore, fans cannot help but hope that Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen and her teammates will be able to compete with the world's top volleyball teams, encountering famous athletes, typically Paola Egonu.
