The Vietnam Volleyball Federation (VFV) has just organized the program "Journey of Vietnam Volleyball 2026" on the very day the national women's volleyball team gathers again.
The event is considered a warm-up step for an important year of competition for Vietnamese women's volleyball with a series of major international tasks ahead.

Not only aiming for professional achievements, the Federation also wants to build tournaments and teams according to modern sports and entertainment models, increasing communication and commercial value.
Mr. Duong Manh Tien - Chairman of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation shared: "VFV aims to turn tournaments and matches into professional sports entertainment products, thereby creating sustainable revenue from media, commerce and the fan ecosystem, instead of just exploiting the value of tournaments according to the traditional model.

Currently, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is concentrating with 14 athletes after finishing club-level tournaments. In 2026, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team will participate in a series of tournaments such as the AVC Women's Volleyball Cup in the Philippines, SEA V.League, VTV Cup, Asian Championship and especially ASIAD 2026.
Assessing the professional goals of the team, Mr. Le Tri Truong - Vice President cum General Secretary of VFV said: "The core goal of the national women's volleyball team at the upcoming ASIAD 2026 is to continue to strive to be in the top 4 strongest teams (top 4) of Asia".
