At the end of April, the Vietnam women's volleyball team gathered in Quang Ninh to prepare professionally for the upcoming important tournaments.
According to the schedule, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team will participate in the Asian tournament - AVC Women's Volleyball Nations Cup 2025 (formerly known as AVC Challenge Cup) from June 7 to June 14 and then the VTV Cup 2025, scheduled to take place from June 28 to July 5.
After that, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will participate in the Southeast Asian Volleyball Championship - SEA V.League, scheduled to take place in mid-August and the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship from August 22 to September 7.
By the end of 2025, Thanh Thuy and her teammates will compete in the most important tournament of the year, the 33rd SEA Games, from December 7 to December 19 in Thailand.
In each tournament, Vietnamese women's volleyball will set specific goals, corresponding to the professional level as well as the achievements that the team had achieved before.
Currently, the Vietnam women's team is the reigning AVC Women's Volleyball Nations Cup champion for 2 consecutive years. Therefore, at all costs, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's team must successfully defend this title, especially when this year's tournament is held at home (Dong Anh District Gymnasium, Hanoi).
In the SEA V.League, Vietnam once lost the throne to Thailand in 2 rounds last year. This is also the biggest rival of Bich Tuyen and her teammates. The goal of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is to overcome Thailand to achieve the highest achievement.
This is also considered a mini tournament of the SEA Games, an important stepping stone for players to prepare mentally, physically, professionally as well as have an overview of opponents in the region before attending the Southeast Asian Games taking place at the end of the year.
Of course, the most important task of Vietnamese women's volleyball this year is to conquer the 33rd SEA Games gold medal in Thailand. However, this is not easy, forcing Bich Tuyen and her teammates to strive to practice and maintain their form through each tournament they participate in.
Notably, one of the most anticipated tournaments in 2025 is the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship (the world) held in Thailand from August 22 to September 7.
In this tournament, the Vietnam team will face Poland, Germany and Kenya in turn. This is a rare opportunity for Mr. Nguyen Tuan Kiet's students to interact, learn and approach larger volleyball teams in the world, thereby improving themselves and having more motivation to develop.
