HOÀI VIỆT |

The preparation plan for the 33rd SEA Games of the men's volleyball team, Thanh Thuy's expected return home schedule... are the main information in the volleyball news on November 24.

The men's volleyball team will move to the South

The Vietnam men's volleyball team will move to the South from the beginning of December. At this time, head coach Tran Dinh Tien, the coaching staff and 18 players are training in Bac Ninh.

However, continuing to go to the southern training area is being developed a specific plan.

The training location in the South of the Vietnam Men's Volleyball Team will be in Ho Chi Minh City. However, the Coaching Board will choose the most suitable place in Ho Chi Minh City to practice their skills most thoroughly.

According to the plan, the players will go to Thailand from the Southern region instead of returning to Hanoi to join the Vietnam Sports Delegation.

Coach Tran Dinh Tien confirmed the training time in the Southern region so that the team can officially determine 14 players to compete in Thailand.

During the training session in the Southern region, it is expected that the Vietnam Men's Volleyball Team will have a competition program to compete with some balls to gain experience in professional tactics.

Thanh Thuy's expected return schedule

The expected return from Japan of striker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy is on December 3. The hitter of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team is competing in Japan but has been approved by her home team Gunma Green Wings to participate in the 33rd SEA Games.

This hitter will be present in Vinh Long to join her teammates.

Although Thanh Thuy has not yet gathered with the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team for the second training session of 2025, this striker has secured a place to participate in the 33rd SEA Games.

Head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet identified this player as the most important face in the squad competing in the 33rd SEA Games this year.

According to the program, the time Thanh Thuy returned home was also the same time as the middle blocker Tran Thi Bich Thuy. After these players trained in Vinh Long, the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team reduced the list of 14 official players going to Thailand to compete.

Beach volleyball focuses

In addition to the Men's and Women's Volleyball Teams (home) focusing on the 33rd SEA Games, the 2 Vietnamese Men's and Women's Beach Volleyball Teams are actively preparing before attending the Games.

The coaching staff of the Vietnam Beach Women's Volleyball Team said that the players will practice centrally in Can Tho to ensure the best spirit. Meanwhile, the Vietnam Beach Men's Volleyball Team is trained in Da Nang.

The Vietnamese men's and women's beach volleyball teams will travel to Thailand to participate in the 33rd SEA Games at the same time as the Vietnamese men's and women's volleyball teams (home) will participate in the Games.

Each Vietnamese men's and women's beach volleyball team is allowed to register a maximum of 4 players to compete in the 33rd SEA Games.
