The Vietnam Army men's volleyball team begins professional training to prepare for the ASEAN Military Volleyball Tournament 2026.

This year, the ASEAN Military Volleyball Tournament 2026 will be held at Dong Anh Gymnasium (Hanoi) in August.

Coach Tran Dinh Tien of Bien Phong MB team has been assigned the task of head coach of the Vietnam Army men's volleyball team.

The coaching staff and the team gathered for training in Hanoi from June 29.

In this gathering, the Vietnam Army Men's Volleyball Team has a list of 20 players.

The core force still includes players who are on duty at the Vietnam Men's Volleyball Team such as Dinh Van Duy, Nguyen Ngoc Thuan, Tran Minh Duc, Tran Duy Tuyen, Truong The Khai (Bien Phong MB) and Phan Cong Duc, Cao Duc Hoang, Pham Thanh Tung (The Cong Tan Cang).

These players will join their teammates at the Vietnam Army Men's Volleyball Team at the time of entering competition in Dong Anh (Hanoi).

According to the training list of the Vietnam Army Men's Volleyball Team, the assistants in the coaching staff for head coach Tran Dinh Tien include coaches Thai Anh Van, Pham Ngoc Kien, Hoang Van Phuong.

In 2023, the ASEAN Military Volleyball Tournament took place in Ho Chi Minh City. The tournament had 7 delegations participating, including Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam (host).

At the end of the competition, the Vietnam Army Men's Volleyball Team won the championship.
