The organizers may test the gender of players at the 2026 Asian Women's Championship
On July 28, the Asian Volleyball Confederation - AVC will organize the professional draw of the 2026 Asian Women's Championship in China.
This year's tournament has 12 participating teams. The Vietnamese women's volleyball team is 1 of the 12 teams participating this year.
The organizers have announced the competition regulations of the 2026 Asian Women's Championship. In which, each team is required to register at least 12 players and a maximum of 14 players.
In addition, the 2026 Asian Women's Championship strictly regulates the work of doping prevention, control, and testing of athletes during competition to comply with the requirements of the International Anti-Doping Agency WADA.
At the same time, the tournament regulations also have a section stating content that can test the gender of athletes.
This will help teams have fairness when competing in the tournament.
According to regulations, the top 3 teams of the 2026 Asian Women's Championship will be qualified to participate in the 2027 World Championship – World Cup 2027.
The 2026 Asian Women's Championship will take place from August 21 to August 30 in China.
Quynh Huong, Bao Ngoc, Thao Nguyen, Yen Nhi will soon return to the national team
Four players Pham Quynh Huong, Trinh Huynh Bao Ngoc, Vo Thi Thao Nguyen, Do Lai Yen Nhi will return to join the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team on July 29.
All 4 faces above are participating in the 2026 National Youth Club Championship held in Ninh Binh. The tournament will close on July 28.
After the tournament, 4 players will leave their respective teams and return to join the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team.
They are not named in the first leg of the SEA V.Cup 2026 Tournament in Dong Anh (Hanoi). Therefore, when returning to join their teammates, the 4 players will continue to train at Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports.
Currently, coach Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa is directly training the remaining players of the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team here.
Men's volleyball team welcomed back to the country
A large number of reporters and managers of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation were present at Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi) to welcome the Vietnam Men's Volleyball Team back home from Indonesia.
The players and coaching staff received applause and bouquets of flowers congratulating the achievement of winning the 2nd leg of SEA V.Cup 2026.
Right at Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi), expert Federico Rampazzo happily exchanged with the press about the recent competition results in the Philippines and Indonesia.
According to the plan, the whole team will return to the training ground at the National High-Level Athlete Training Center and continue to train in the following days.
