Kim Hue shows off her achievements
On her personal page, former player Pham Thi Kim Hue posted pictures of rose pots she planted on her balcony. The beauty born in 1982 shared: "A successful year of growing roses."
Once known as "Vietnam's Volleyball Queen", although she no longer competes, Kim Hue is still considered an ideal model of an independent, strong, beauty-loving and capable woman.
She is enjoying the Tet atmosphere with her family, before returning to practice with the Vietinbank women's team, preparing for the 2025 season. The Banking team is expected to open on the 6th day of the Lunar New Year.
Thanh Thuy continues to be away from home
Vietnam women's volleyball team recorded 2 players celebrating Lunar New Year 2025 abroad. They are main attacker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy - who is currently playing in the Indonesian national volleyball championship and middle attacker Tran Thi Bich Thuy - who is playing in the Korean national volleyball championship.
On social media, a group of fans asked: "How many Tet holidays has Thanh Thuy spent away from home?" Since going abroad in 2018 to Taiwan (China), the Binh Duong-born player has celebrated Tet abroad 8 times because her competition schedule in the countries she has been to does not coincide with the Lunar New Year holiday in Vietnam.
Vietnam is not the host of the Asian Cup?
Recently, the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) announced a new schedule for indoor volleyball tournaments in 2025. Vietnam is currently not on the schedule as the venue for the 2025 Asian Women's Club Cup.
Previously, on January 7, AVC announced that Vietnam was chosen as the host of the above tournament.
Mr. Le Tri Truong - General Secretary of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation (VFV) said that VFV still sent a request to host the above tournament to AVC. However, VFV has not yet received an official written notice of AVC's decision.
Currently, VFV is waiting for the beginning of February (after Lunar New Year 2025) to know the decision of AVC. If it is allowed to host the above tournament, Vietnam will have a stadium that meets international standards to organize.
