Vietnamese women's volleyball team rises to 27th in the world
On the latest ranking announced by the FIVB, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team has risen to 27th place.
Contrary to information that the first leg of the SEA V.Cup 2026 is not counted as achievement points from the competition results, 4 teams (Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines) are still counted as FIVB accumulated points from the competition results.
The Vietnamese women's volleyball team has risen to 27th in the world at this time. We have 2 wins in the first leg of the SEA V.Cup 2026 (against Indonesia and the Philippines) and 1 defeat against Thailand.
Currently in Southeast Asia, the Thai women's volleyball team has the highest ranking, ranking 17th in the world.
The Vietnamese women's volleyball team is currently in Chiangmai (Thailand) continuing to compete in the 2nd leg of the SEA V.Cup 2026 Tournament. We are very hopeful that the competition results will bring a good position for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team in the FIVB rankings.
Men's volleyball team training
The Vietnamese men's volleyball team has returned to training after the SEA V.Cup 2026 competition program. Currently, all 19 players are training at the National High-Level Athlete Training Center.
After the training program in August, the coaching staff of the Vietnam Men's Volleyball Team will shorten the list to participate in ASIAD 20.
Currently, 19 players are in good spirits. Recently, they were present in Dong Anh (Hanoi) to cheer for female colleagues competing in the first leg of the SEA V.Cup 2026.
The coaching staff of the Vietnam Men's Volleyball Team said that in the training program from now until before ASIAD 20, the team will look for opportunities to compete and rub shoulders with some domestic teams for players to check their expertise.
