Preparation plan for the 2026 national youth club tournament
According to research, the Organizing Committee of the 2026 National Youth Club Volleyball Championship has planned to prepare for this year's tournament at the Ninh Binh Provincial Sports Center.
The tournament is expected to be held from July 15 to July 26.
Notably, the Ninh Binh Provincial Sports Complex is also the venue for the first leg of the women's category of the SEA V.League 2026 from July 31st to August 2nd. Therefore, the preparation for both tournaments is determined by the Organizing Committee to be as thorough as possible.
According to regulations, the National Youth Club Volleyball Championship is a program for youth teams of teams participating in the National Championship.
This year, the early tournament determined 16 teams to come to Ninh Binh to compete. The list includes 8 women's teams: VTV Binh Dien Long An Youth, LPBank Ninh Binh Youth, Binh Chung Thong Tin Youth, Vietinbank Youth, Hanoi Youth, Hung Yen Youth, Long Son Thanh Hoa Cement Youth and Duc Giang Chemical Youth.
The 8 men's participating teams are MB Border Guard Youth, The Cong Tan Cang Youth, Ho Chi Minh City Police Youth, LPBank Ninh Binh Youth, Da Nang Youth, Sanest Khanh Hoa Youth, Hanoi Youth, Ho Chi Minh City Youth.
Average age Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team
According to statistics, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team has the 2nd highest average age at the AVC Cup 2026. Data shows that 14 players of coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet have an average age of 26.
At the tournament, the highest average age belonged to the host team Philippines (28 years old). Meanwhile, the smallest average age and also considered the youngest squad belonged to the Kyrgyzstan team (19 years old).
At this year's tournament, the Kazakhstan team has an average age of 25, while Hong Kong (China) and South Korean players have an average age of 24. The Taiwan (China) and Lebanon teams have an average age of 23. The Indonesian and Iranian teams have the same average age of 22.
At this tournament, Uzbekistan and Australia teams have young players with an average age of 21.
Volleyball player invited to launch VTV sports channel
Many famous faces of Vietnamese volleyball players are invited to attend the Launching Ceremony of VTV Sports Channel of Vietnam Television on June 8th.
According to research, national team players such as Dinh Van Duy, Nguyen Ngoc Thuan or former national team player Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh... are guests attending the ceremony.
Because the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is on duty for the AVC Cup 2026 in the Philippines, many members, including head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet, did not have time to attend this ceremony.
At this time, many male and female players have become sports idols of many Vietnamese volleyball fans and are widely cheered on through tournament broadcasts on television.
