On the morning of June 6th in the Philippines, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team took the field to compete in the opening match of the AVC Cup 2026. In this match, Vietnamese female hitters completely dominated against their opponent Lebanon.
Because they have not met opponents who are too superior in level, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet has created conditions for some reserve players to have the opportunity to play and maximize their abilities.
At the end of the match, the Vietnamese hitters won 3-0 against Lebanon.
Professional statistics show that middle blocker Le Nhu Anh is the person who scored the most points in the Vietnamese women's volleyball team squad. The hitter has 12 points in this match. Following Le Nhu Anh are main hitter Nguyen Thi Uyen with 11 points and middle blocker Tran Thi Bich Thuy with 9 points.
Meanwhile, main hitter Vi Thi Nhu Quynh had 6 points, Dang Thi Kim Thanh had 5 points and Doan Thi Xuan scored 4 points while main hitter Dinh Thi Thuy had 3 points.
This is the 2nd time in her career that Le Nhu Anh has participated in a major tournament with the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team.
Last year, this player who is currently under contract with VTV Binh Dien Long An was gathered by coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and awarded a spot to participate in SEA Games 33 in Thailand. Nhu Anh won a silver medal at the SEA Games right from her first participation. The AVC Cup 2026 is also the first time Le Nhu Anh has participated in the Asian arena with the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team.
In her career, Le Nhu Anh won the national championship with VTV Binh Dien Long An team in 2024 and 2025. At the same time, this player won the runner-up title of the 2025 Asian Women's Club Championship with the managing unit.
