Main attacker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy takes on the responsibility at stage 2 of the SEA V.Cup 2026
On August 6, the coaching staff of the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team announced the list of 14 players to the Organizing Committee of stage 2 of the SEA V.Cup 2026 Tournament in Thailand.
According to registration, main attacker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy continues to take on the role of captain of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team.
Thus, in the list of 14 players of the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy is the most experienced and elderly player in the squad of head coach Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa.
Currently Thanh Thuy is 29 years old. Also at this tournament, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team has 2 other players who are also 29 years old, libero Le Thi Yen and opposite hitter Doan Thi Xuan.
At the first leg of the SEA V.Cup 2026, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy was trusted to take on the important responsibility of being the captain of the team.
Quynh Huong receives certificate of merit for high performance
Young main attacker Pham Quynh Huong was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the staff of the Signal Corps to recognize her achievement in winning the championship of the 2026 National Youth Club Volleyball Tournament recently in Ninh Binh.
Quynh Huong was absent from the award ceremony of certificates of merit from the leaders of the Signal Corps because she went to Thailand to perform national duties.
In the recent tournament in Ninh Binh, Quynh Huong received the title of best attacking player.
This young player will be awarded a Certificate of Merit by the coaching staff after returning to the unit.
Also awarded Certificates of Merit by the staff of the Signal Corps this time were players Le Thi Hang and Dinh Ngoc Van Anh.
Player Le Thi Hang received the title of Excellent Defender at the 2026 National Youth Club Championship, while Van Anh is the captain of the Binh Chung Thong Tin youth team.
Players Le Thi Hang and Dinh Ngoc Van Anh continue to be registered by the Binh Chung Thong Tin youth team to participate in the 2026 National Youth Championship in Ha Tinh.
Stage 2 of SEA V.Cup 2026 may continue to count FIVB points
The results of the 4 teams in stage 2 of the women's event of the SEA V.Cup 2026 are expected to continue to be scored on the FIVB world rankings.
Previously, in the first leg held in Dong Anh (Hanoi), the competition results of 4 teams (Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines) were scored on the FIVB ranking, based on actual performance.
The Vietnamese women's volleyball team was added points in 2 victories (against Indonesia, Philippines) and was deducted points in 1 match (lost to Thailand).
Currently, we are ranked 27th in the world. The Thai women's team is ranked 17th in the world at this time.
