On January 24, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau province organized a sports festival to celebrate the successful 14th Party Congress.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - said that the sports festival aims to celebrate the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party, celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026), and celebrate the Binh Ngo Spring of 2026.
Athletes compete in 6 sports: mini football, table tennis, tennis, pickleball, badminton and tug of war.
In addition, the sports festival contributes to continuing to promote and effectively implement the campaign "All people train their bodies according to the example of great Uncle Ho", thereby improving spiritual life and strengthening the health of cadres, civil servants, public employees and the people.
Through the sports festival, it is also aimed at discovering and fostering typical sports factors, improving the quality of mass physical education and sports movements in the province; and at the same time encouraging and motivating officials and people to strive to emulation in labor and production, striving to successfully complete socio-economic development goals and tasks in 2026.
The sports festival is expected to close tomorrow (January 25).
