On the evening of November 29, the final round of the 2025 Hyundai Thanh Cong Cup National 7-a-side Football Cup (VSC-S5) officially opened at Gia Dinh Stadium (HCMC). The eight participating teams gave exciting and dramatic matches on the first day of competition.
In the early match, the focus was on the confrontation between Thien Khoi FC and An Bien. The reigning Northern champion Thien Khoi FC had an ineffective day, lacking cohesion, and accepted a 1-4 defeat against An Bien.

The Southern team took the initiative to enter the match, opening the score thanks to a good combination between Hoang Anh and Tran Tuyen. Foreign player Epassi played solidly, locking down Thien Khoi FC's attack points. In the second half, An Bien continued to dominate, scoring 3 more goals thanks to Hoang Anh, Tran Tuyen and Chi Bao, before Tuan Anh scored an honorary goal for Thien Khoi FC in extra time.
At the same time, Nghiem Pham Holdings had a spectacular comeback against Hieu Hoa Quahaco. The Central team took the lead thanks to a goal by Huu Tai, but the understanding of the trio Minh Thong, Tien Ha and Nhat Thien helped Nghiem Pham Holdings win 2-1 in the final minutes.

In Group B, defending national champion Dai Tu affirmed his mettle with a thrilling 2-1 victory over HG La Giang. The match between the two Northern representatives was balanced in the first half, before Do Huu Minh Quang opened the score for Dai Tu in the 42nd minute. In the second half, Hoang Long doubled the gap, while HG La Giang only managed to shorten the score to 1-2, having to accept defeat.
In the same group, Van Duy shined with a hat-trick to help Thep Viet Thang defeat Truong Hung The Gia 3-1, bringing home 3 valuable points in the opening match.
