Nguyen Thuy Linh is the No. 6 seed in women's singles at the 2026 Taiwan International Tournament (China). The tournament is at the BWF World Tour Super level.
She did not have to compete in the preliminary round but participated right from the official women's singles round.
Thuy Linh will play her first match on July 29 local time to meet Pai Yu Po (Taiwan, China).
Previously, on the opening day of the tournament on July 28, 3 Vietnamese players, Vu Thi Trang, Nguyen Dinh Hoang, and Tran Dinh Manh, were eliminated.
Vu Thi Trang competed in the women's singles preliminary round. However, the player lost 1-2 to opponent Wang Pei Yu of host Taiwan (China) and stopped.
In the preliminary round of the men's doubles event, Nguyen Dinh Hoang and Tran Dinh Manh lost 1-2 to 2 Thai players Weeraphat Phakjarung, Tanupat Viriyangkura, so they also left the tournament.
The Taiwan (China) International Tournament 2026 will be held until August 2.
Immediately after this tournament, Nguyen Thuy Linh, Vu Thi Trang, Nguyen Dinh Hoang, Tran Dinh Manh will continue to participate in the Masters International Badminton Tournament 2026 in Korea.
The competition program takes place from August 4th to August 8th. The tournament also has the BWF World Tour Super 300 level of the world.
Recently, Nguyen Thuy Linh participated in the 2026 Chinese Open badminton tournament but had to stop after the women's singles round 2.
