Defender Christian Zaccardo - former 2006 World Cup champion had to post a job search on the Linkedln website. Zaccardo is now 35 years old and is nearing the end of his career.
The Italian defender has left Vicenza Club and is currently unemployed. His shares on Linkedln show that Zaccardo needs more than ever a job so that he can earn money to cover his living expenses.
"I have canceled my contract until June 2018 with Vicenza and am currently a free player. I feel healthy and can play top football for another 2 years. So, will any club come to me with a contract? I'm still very strong and very professional," Zaccardo wrote on Linkedln.
Immediately after posting the news, Zaccardo received many invitations from low-level Italian clubs. Not only football, he also received many invitations from different fields and professions in society. However, up to this point, Zaccardo has not been able to find a new job for himself.
In his career, Zaccardo is one of many people who have been labeled as a "hot job". He spent most of his career playing for Palermo before moving to Wolfsburg in 2008.
He then returned to Parma and played there for 4 years before joining AC Milan in 2013. After 3 years at San Siro, he joined the newly promoted Serie A 2016 team Carpi. Last season, Zaccardo moved to Vicenza, a strange club where a defender like him was given the No. 9 shirt.
