9 teachers decide the profession
The 9 women's teams participating in the second phase of the 2024 National Volleyball Championship include VTV Binh Dien Long An, Vietinbank, LPB Ninh Binh, Duc Giang Lao Cai Chemicals, Binh Phuoc Truong Tuoi Information Corps, Geleximco Thai Binh, Quang Ninh, Hanoi, Long Son Thanh Hoa Cement. What a coincidence, all are led by male coaches.
Each team will play the remaining matches in the second phase (some teams will play 3 matches, some teams will play 4 matches). The two goals that each head coach is directly aiming for are staying in the league, and if there is a chance, they will be determined to win a ticket to the semi-finals.
In this year's women's event, Vietnam volleyball has recorded only one foreign expert doing professional work, coach Narachata Chakariya (Thailand) of Quang Ninh team. This coach has worked with the team since the beginning of 2024, and has a good grasp of the matches in Vietnam women's volleyball after going through the first phase of the season. Therefore, in order to focus best on expertise, coach Narachata Chakariya and Quang Ninh players arrived in Lao Cai as early as possible to realize the goal of staying in the league this year.
Meanwhile, although not hiring foreign players, coach Nguyen Huu Binh of the Hanoi women's team is still very optimistic, affirming that his students are in the best condition to be ready to enter the second phase.
Each team has a determination
This season has recorded the participation of the most coaches who have led the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team. Among them, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet (Vietinbank) is currently the head coach of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team. Coaches Pham Van Long (Duc Giang Lao Cai Chemicals), Thai Thanh Tung (LP Ninh Binh) are former head coaches of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team. Coach Pham Minh Dung (Binh Phuoc School of Information Corps) was once the head coach of the Vietnam youth women's volleyball team while coach Thai Quang Lai (VTV Binh Dien Long An) was once the head coach of the Vietnam men's volleyball team. Not to mention, Thai expert Narachata Chakariya was also a member of the coaching staff of the Thailand youth women's volleyball team.
The highest achievement in the 2024 National Volleyball Championship is the championship. Teams such as VTV Binh Dien Long An, Binh Phuoc School of Information Corps or Long Son Thanh Hoa Cement, LPB Ninh Binh are leading the 2024 National Volleyball Championship after the first stage and at this time, all the coaching staff of these teams clearly show their determination to ensure points when competing in Lao Cai, winning tickets to the semi-finals.
"The match in phase 2 is certainly not easy because each team has its own preparation, but above all, every team has good players, high determination and readiness to compete on the field" - coach Thai Thanh Tung once expressed.
Being the reigning national champion, however, LPB Ninh Binh women's team did not slack off in their expertise but prepared quite thoroughly. During nearly 10 days of training in Thailand, coach Thai Thanh Tung and his students received the most professional training and above all, as the team's coaching staff revealed, the players' spirit was very confident.
In other goals, Vietinbank, Quang Ninh, Hanoi, and Geleximco Thai Binh are aiming for the highest goal of successfully staying in the league. The decisive factor for their success may be the foreign players. Vietinbank, Quang Ninh, and Geleximco Thai Binh have registered foreign players while Hanoi will use all domestic players trained by the unit itself. This year, the tournament continues to keep the two relegation spots, so the competition is still very tense.
