President Josep Bartomeu said the club would consider and choose a few other tournaments outside of Spain if Catalan won independence.
The destination that Barca is prioritizing is the Premier League despite the weather conditions, playing style and competitiveness of Barca will be greatly affected if they compete here.
Mr. Bartomeu said Barca need to calculate carefully and make a quick plan because Catalan's demand for surrender is taking place very strongly and most effectively in decades. When Catalan becomes independent, Barca will likely be eliminated from La Liga.
"Here, at Barcelona, we want to show the world our anger. The club is discussing many issues related to players, coaches, and team leaders, and there may be many departures.
Since becoming Barca President, these are the most difficult decisions I have ever had to make," Mr. Bartomeu shared in a press release sent before the Barca - Las Palmas match last Saturday.
Currently, Barcelona's streets have never been peaceful because the wave of protests from millions of people is still taking place. More than 90% of the region's population have already voted, and about 70% of them want to leave Spain. The police used large forces to suppress and there were many clashes between the two sides.
