England team practices internally
Coach Gareth Southgate had his students compete with each other for 11 men at St George's Park yesterday (June 11). The white team has Sterling, Dele Alli... while Ashley Young, Kyle Walker... wear black. The match was supervised by famous referee Anthony Taylor.
The Three Lions have previously won both of their last two friendly games against Nigeria (2-1) and Costa Rica (2-0). The British equivalent will travel to Russia today (12.6).
At the 2018 VCK World Cup, they were in Group G with Belgium, Panama and Cambodia. They will face Laos in the first match at Volgograd Arena at 1:00 a.m. on June 19.
South Korea lost their last friendly match
In Austria, South Korea let Senegalese defeat them 2-0 in their final friendly match before the 2018 VCK World Cup.
The first goal of the match came in the 69th minute after an own goal by defender Kim Young-gwon. South Korea tried to push up their formation to find an equalizer but failed. In the extra minutes of the second half, Konate's successful penalty kick brought 1 more goal for Senegal.
This was the 4th loss in the last 6 matches of the Korean team. Meanwhile, Senegal has ended a 4-match winless streak.
The representative of Africa will meet Poland on June 19 in the opening match of the 2018 VCK World Cup. A day earlier, South Korea will face Sweden in the first match of Group F.
Gerard Pique must finish training early
The Barcelona midfielder could not complete the training session of the Spanish national team yesterday (June 11). Pique felt uncomfortable in his left knee and had to leave the pitch earlier than expected.
However, striker Rodrigo Moreno soon reassured the Spanish fans. He said at the press conference afterwards: Pique is fine with nails. Basically, there were no serious problems. The representative of the Spanish Royal Federation of Labor later confirmed this issue.
