On the morning of May 10, two races VNG IRONMAN Vietnam 2026 and VNG IRONMAN 70. 3 Da Nang 2026 officially kicked off in Da Nang, marking the first time Vietnam has organized the IRONMAN full-distance race - the world's leading endurance challenge.

Notably, this is the first time Vietnam has organized the full-range IRONMAN (140.6 miles), marking a historical milestone of the domestic endurance sports movement.
In the total distance, athletes must complete 3.8km swimming, 180km cycling and 42km jogging. Compared to IRONMAN 70.3, this distance requires superior physical fitness, a reasonable nutrition strategy and the ability to maintain a stable spirit throughout the competition journey that can last up to 17 hours continuously.
IRONMAN Total has long been considered one of the harshest challenges of world endurance sports, where athletes continuously overcome their limits in high-intensity competition conditions.
Some prominent faces of Vietnam participating in this year's full-distance event include MyCa (Nguyen Thi Tra My), Hoang Minh Quan and Le Nhat Tai.
Besides the historic milestone of the total distance, VNG IRONMAN 70. 3 Da Nang 2026 also marks the 10th season held in the coastal city.
The IRONMAN 70. 3 distance including 1.9km swimming, 90km cycling and 21km jogging - a journey that has contributed to spreading the triathlon movement in Vietnam over the past decade.


This year, the tournament continues to gather many familiar faces of Vietnamese sports such as national triathlon athlete Lam Quang Nhat, former swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien, marathon athlete Nguyen Van Long, Huynh Anh Khoi and Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 runner-up Huynh Pham Thuy Tien.

In particular, blind and hearing-impaired athlete Suzuko from Japan continues to return to Da Nang to compete. Suzuko's competition journey is considered a strong source of inspiration for the spirit of overcoming personal limits in endurance sports.
According to the organizers, the official results of VNG IRONMAN 70. 3 Da Nang 2026 will be announced after the award ceremony taking place on the evening of May 10 at the Wyndham Soleil Danang hotel.
Meanwhile, the award ceremony and official results announcement of VNG IRONMAN Vietnam 2026 full-distance event will take place on the morning of May 11.
