VFF and VPF representatives visit referee Tran Dinh Thinh

On August 5, representatives of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) visited referee Tran Dinh Thinh.

At the visiting ceremony, VFF and VPF representatives lit incense to bid farewell to referee Tran Dinh Thinh, expressing their condolences for the sudden passing of the dedicated referee who has been involved in and devoted to Vietnamese football for many years.

VFF and VPF sent their deepest condolences to the family and relatives of referee Tran Dinh Thinh, and will continue to accompany and support the family to overcome this difficult period.

Referee Tran Dinh Thinh was born in 1982 in Dong Nai, officially participated in refereeing at national tournaments since 2010 and was named FIFA referee in 2019.

He is considered an experienced referee at national professional football tournaments and was honored with the title of "Cold Archer" for the category of Outstanding Referee of V.League 2024-2025.

Referee Tran Dinh Thinh suddenly passed away on August 3 while participating in a physical test at the referee training program preparing for the new season.

In order to express their deep gratitude and affection for referee Tran Dinh Thinh, VFF and VPF organized the entire funeral. At the same time, VFF and VPF also agreed to provide support to share with the family. Hopefully, this affection and support will somewhat ease the pain of referee Tran Dinh Thinh's family and relatives.
