The Vietnam Volleyball Federation has sent documents to each managing unit of 14 players proposed to supplement training for the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team at the training session in July in Bac Ninh.
The list was released by head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and the coaching staff.
After careful consideration of expertise, the list includes players Nguyen Huynh Phuong Thuy, Pham Quynh Huong (Information Corps), Bui Thi Anh Thao (Hanoi), Bui Hong Nhung (Duc Giang Chemicals) – main attacker; Do Lai Yen Nhi (Hung Yen), Nguyen Thi Tra My (VTV Binh Dien Long An) – opposite hitter; Le Thuy Linh (Hanoi), Trinh Huynh Bao Ngoc (VTV Binh Dien Long An), Luu Thi Hue (LPBank Ninh Binh), Nguyen Phuong Quynh (Vietinbank) – middle blocker;
Lai Thi Khanh Huyen (Information Corps), Dinh Thi Van (Bac Ninh) – setter; Vo Thi Thao Nguyen (VTV Binh Dien Long An), Ca Thi Tu (Bac Ninh) – libero.
Two cases called up for training by coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet in the list of 14 expected additional players are setter Cao Thi Hoa Tham (Hoa Chat Duc Giang) and opposite hitter Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh (Binh Chung Thong Tin) who did not join this time due to not recovering from injuries.
Therefore, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet chose to call up additional training for player Do Lai Yen Nhi in the opposite hitter position and player Lai Thi Khanh Huyen in the setter position.
These are promising young players of Vietnamese women's volleyball.
After receiving written responses from the managing units of the 14 players mentioned above, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation will propose to the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports to issue a decision to train national team players according to the correct procedures.
The Vietnamese women's volleyball team is practicing physical fitness in Da Lat (Lam Dong) with 14 players who have just returned from the AVC Cup 2026.
In July, when the list of 14 additional players is officially decided, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will have 28 strikers training at Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports.
