Do Lai Yen Nhi will replace Kieu Trinh in the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team
The coaching staff of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team decided to add young face Do Lai Yen Nhi to the list of 14 people who will train in the next phase in July.
Yen Nhi was given a replacement slot for player Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh (Information Corps).
Previously, Kieu Trinh was named in the list of proposals to call up for additional training for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team. However, she has not yet been able to join the army because she still needs time to fully recover her health.
To ensure good for the opposite hitter position as well as prioritize young players to develop in the future, face Do Lai Yen Nhi was given the opportunity.
This player has a height of 1m84 and is one of the promising professional faces trained by Hung Yen women's volleyball. She competed in round 1 of the 2026 National Club Championship in Dong Anh (Hanoi).
In the list of 14 players proposed to be added to the Vietnamese women's volleyball team, the opposite hitter position will only have 2 faces: Do Lai Yen Nhi and Nguyen Thi Tra My.
Tran Tu Linh focuses on recovery in Ho Chi Minh City
Main attacker Tran Tu Linh is actively recovering physically after surgery for injury.
According to research, she is undergoing a recovery program in Ho Chi Minh City to ensure the correct roadmap to return to 100% form.
In the latest shares on her personal Facebook page, Tu Linh said she has a very comfortable spirit and her health is progressing well.
Tu Linh has been registered in the list of preparations for round 1 of the 2026 National Club Championship of Duc Giang Chemicals team.
However, she did not recover her fitness in time to be named among the 14 official players to compete. However, this team still expects Tu Linh to be present in the 2nd round of the 2026 National Club Championship.
Tu Linh has been out of competition since May 2025 after surgery to treat injuries. Since then, she has not played and has not been able to concentrate on the Vietnamese women's volleyball team to participate in SEA Games 33 in Thailand.
