In the list of registered players for the Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup 2025, Thanh Hoa club surprised with the appearance of setter Nguyen Van Ha. The female player born in 2005 is playing for Kinh Bac Bac Ninh and has joined the Thanh team with a loan deal.
Previously, head coach Bui Huy Son had looked for a number of suitable players to supplement the setter position, including Vi Thi Yen Nhi (Hanoi) and Nguyen Van Ha (Kinh Bac Bac Ninh). Finally, Van Ha reached an agreement to join the Thanh Hoa women's team.
The 20-year-old female player will join Thanh Hoa to participate in the Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup 2025. If she meets her expertise well, Van Ha's chance to compete for a place in the 2025 national championship will be very promising. This promises to be a very notable factor in this year's football season.
Nguyen Van Ha is one of the outstanding young players in the setter position of Vietnamese women's volleyball. With a height of 1m72, a jumping ability of 2m83, Van Ha always shows confidence and boldness in passing the ball or dropping it. In addition, this player also actively supports teammates in covering the net, defending and encouraging the team spirit during the competition.
In the 2024 season, Van Ha and Kinh Bac Bac Ninh reached the final of the national A-class tournament but lost to Ho Chi Minh City women's team. This result prevented them from winning their only ticket to the 2025 national championship. However, Van Ha's good performance helped her receive the title of "Best Setter of the tournament".
At the national team level, the setter born in 2005 once wore the captain's armband of the Vietnam U20 women's volleyball team participating in international tournaments. In addition to the VTV9 - Binh Dien Cup 2024, Van Ha also directly contributed, helping the Vietnam U20 women's volleyball team rank 5th in the Asian Championship, thereby qualifying for the 2025 U21 Women's World Championship.
Joining Thanh Hoa is a good opportunity for Van Ha to gain experience, overcome weaknesses and maximize her potential. In particular, in the context that the Vietnam U21 women's team will be focused on preparing for the world tournament (taking place in August), Van Ha really needs opportunities to compete and show herself.

Coach Nguyen Trong Linh - who led the U20 Vietnam team to win a ticket to the 2025 U21 Women's World Championship said that through the 2024 U20 Asian Championship, it can be seen that the competition experience of young Vietnamese athletes is still limited.
The opportunity for some U21 players to compete in the national championship will be an opportunity for them to learn and improve.
"The youth team coaching staff will closely monitor the performance of athletes from the national championship, A-class tournament and youth tournaments, and propose to focus on the most outstanding faces to represent Vietnam in the U21 Women's World Championship.
I hope that outstanding positions such as Dang Thi Hong, Nhu Anh, Phuong Quynh, Van Ha, Quynh Huong, Anh Thao... will have a breakthrough and mature much more this year", coach Nguyen Trong Linh shared.
For Thanh Hoa club, the addition in the setter position could create a big turning point for this team. The biggest problem for coach Bui Huy Son at the moment is to quickly help the new recruits create an integration, ready towards the 2025 season about to start.
