After more than a century of being with SVD White Hart Lane, in the end, although not expecting, Tottenham fans had to say goodbye to their homes to make way for a bigger SVD.
The win over Manchester United and finishing second in the table was a sweet farewell from the "Roosters" to their hundred-year-old home. Many fans flooded onto the field after the referee blew the final whistle. Among the tens of thousands of Spurs fans, many chose to bring home some items at the stadium as souvenirs.
However, there is a special player who is not strong enough to lift a chair or rush onto the field to pick up a handful of grass but just sit and smile, that is Ken Stanley. What's special about Stanley is not only that he is an older fan but also because his love for Spurs is certainly greater than anyone else.
Ken Stanley is 96 years old this year and on the last day of White Hart Lane, he brought a ticket to this stadium since 1929, 88 years ago. After knowing that there was such a special fan, midfielder Dele Alli immediately gave Ken Stanley a pair of his famous luxury shoes.
Not only that, Alli also donated money to the " consensus" fund, which is a fund for children with serious illnesses. It is known that Ken Stanley's nephew passed away from white blood cells.
On his Twitter page, Alli wrote: "This is fan Ken Stanley, he is 96 years old and still holds a ticket to the stadium from 88 years ago. Hopefully these shoes will be one of his good memories with the club."
In 88 years of loyal love and following Tottenham, Stanley has seen the club relegated three times, promoted four times and won the title twice, the last time in 2015. As for the coaching position, Stanley has witnessed 28 generations of coaches of the "Rooster", the current one is Pochettino, the one holding the position in 1929 is Billy Minter.
