Vietnamese disabled sports delegation participates in ASEAN Para Games 13 on January 15

Members of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation for People with Disabilities have completed preparations to go to Thailand to compete in ASEAN Para Games 13.

184 members of the disabled sports delegation will go to Thailand to participate in ASEAN Para Games 13 on January 15. Members will move to Nakhon Ratchasima (Thailand) from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

General Secretary of the Vietnam Paralympic Committee - Mr. Tran Duc Tho said that the Vietnamese disabled sports teams have prepared the best professionally, ready to enter the competition.

Among the 184 members, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation for People with Disabilities has 141 athletes (with 2 athletes leading the way).

When present in Thailand, the teams will be examined and classified for injuries by the ASEAN Para Games 13 Organizing Committee from January 17 to January 19. The Games will officially open on January 20.

Vietnamese disabled sports set a goal to win at least 40 gold medals at this year's Games and strive to be in the group with high professional achievements.

At the 12th ASEAN Para Games held in Cambodia, we ranked 3rd with 66 gold medals, 58 silver medals and 77 bronze medals.

With this year's Games, Vietnamese disabled sports will participate in the events of athletics (35 athletes, 2 leading athletes), swimming (29), weightlifting (13), badminton (10), table tennis (15), chess (18), judo (4), boccia (3), archery (8), tennis (2) and swordplay (4).

The entire Games has 19 sports with 536 sets of medals. The head of the Vietnamese disabled sports delegation at ASEAN Para Games 13 is Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen.
