The Vietnamese sports delegation sent their condolences to the families of three athletes who have just won the 33rd SEA Games gold medal after their father's passing.

The leaders of the Vietnam Department of Physical Training and Sports and the Vietnam Sports Delegation attending the 33rd SEA Games sent a letter of condolences to the family of Mr. Nguyen Dang Son - the father of 3 athletes Nguyen Thi My Hanh, Nguyen Thi My Trang and Nguyen Thi My Linh.

In the letter, the leaders of the delegation emphasized their shock and regret at the news of Mr. Nguyen Dang Son's passing, and at the same time sent their condolences to the family at this extremely difficult time. His passing is a great loss not only to his family, but also a common regret for those working in Vietnamese sports, the letter reads.

The three sisters from Hue made a miracle at the 33rd SEA Games when they won gold medals in women's freestyle events in 3 different weight categories: My Hanh (62kg), My Trang (57kg) and My Linh (53kg). This achievement marks a special milestone in the history of Vietnamese sports, and at the same time affirms the position of the national women's team in the region.

The companionship and encouragement of Mr. Nguyen Dang Son are recognized as an important factor behind the success of the athletes.
