Hanoi Police denies news of Luis Viegas' assistant quitting his job

On the afternoon of August 26, Hanoi Police Club officially spoke out after the news that assistant coach Luis Viegas announced his resignation due to disrespect.

In a notice sent to the media, the Hanoi Police Club said: "Up to now, the club has not received any resignation letter from assistant coach Luis Viegas. All professional activities of the coaching staff are still being implemented according to the plan to prepare for the new season".

In addition, the club emphasized that there will be a direct working session with the coaching staff to review, rectify and reorient the members' behaviors and styles. "With a spirit of openness and responsibility, the club's leadership wishes to maintain the professional and standard image of the Hanoi Police club team," the announcement stated.

The Hanoi Police Club also affirmed that it will continue to accompany the coaching staff and players, while striving to bring beautiful playing style, dedication and a positive image to the fans. The club called: "The club hopes to continue to receive the attention, companionship and support of a large number of fans, to work together towards a successful season".

Previously, on August 25, the Disciplinary Board of the Vietnam Football Federation issued a penalty for Mr. Luis Viegas for reacting to the referee in the match between Becamex HCMC and Hanoi Police. This assistant was fined 5 million VND and suspended from duty for the next 2 matches.
