On the afternoon of September 17, at a press conference before the opening match of Group E of the AFC Champions League Two 2025-2026, coach Mano Polking of Hanoi Police Club shared his determination before facing Beijing Guoan.
Speaking to the media, coach Polking emphasized that this is a memorable milestone in the history of the team: This is a historic day, the first time the Hanoi Police Club has participated in a major arena. We are proud, happy and excited to prove our strength."
The Brazilian strategist also affirmed that the goal of the whole team does not stop at attending: "We are in Beijing not for a vacation, but for the goal of winning. The reason I joined the club is to fight in arenas like this Champions League".
Evaluating the opponent, Mr. Polking said that this will be a big challenge but also an opportunity for Hanoi Police to show their mettle. Beijing Guoan is considered one of the strongest teams in China, possessing many national players and a squad of quality foreign players.
However, coach Polking said his players are not afraid. He said: "The opponent has many quality national and foreign players. This is definitely a difficult match, but the whole team is eager to challenge and show it to the fans".
The match between Beijing Guoan and Hanoi Police will take place at 7:15 p.m. on September 18.
