The final match of the 33rd SEA Games women's football event will take place at 7:30 p.m. tonight (December 17) in Chonburi (Thailand).
After a convincing 5-0 victory over Indonesia in the semi-finals, the Vietnam women's team entered the final match with great confidence. However, the 0-1 defeat to the Philippines in the group stage was a clear warning, forcing the coaching staff to make appropriate adjustments, especially in their ability to defend the ball well and compete with one hand.
In goal, goalkeeper Kim Thanh continues to be the number one choice thanks to his stability and international experience. The defense has many possibilities including Tran Thi Thu, Hoang Thi Loan, Tran Thi Hai Linh and Thai Thi Thao - players with good coverage and relatively solid aerial skills.

In the midfield, Le Thi Diem My and Tran Thi Duyen are expected to play a role in balancing the game, supporting defense from a distance and organizing the play. Ngan Thi Van Su and Nguyen Thi Thanh Nha bring mobility, speed and the ability to create breakthroughs on the two wings.
In attack, Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy and Pham Hai Yen continue to be the hope of the Vietnam women's team scoring. The understanding between the attacking players is considered the key to penetrating the Philippines' superior defense.
With a team expected to be experienced and well prepared, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team are determined to compete in accordance with their strong playing style, aiming for victory to defend the title of SEA Games women's football beauty queen.
Expected lineup of the Vietnam women's team: Kim Thanh; Tran Thi Thu, Hoang Thi Loan, Tran Thi Hai Linh, Thai Thi Thao; Le Thi Diem My, Tran Thi Duyen; Nguyen Thi Thanh Nha, Ngan Thi Van Su; Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy, Pham Hai Yen.
