On June 15, in a match in the youth tournament system of Valencia city, Spain, the U11 Serranos B team crushed opponent U11 Benicalap C with a score of up to 25-0. Immediately after that unimaginable victory, U11 coach Serranos B was immediately fired.
Explaining this, Serranos Club President Pablo Alcaide said that winning so big in a youth tournament would lose the football spirit of this age group
"We always encourage respect for our opponents, so we will let the U11 coach leave his position. Such a high score is unacceptable," Mr. Alcaide shared.
The fired coach's personal lawyer said that his client did not deserve to be treated like that. Specifically, this lawyer said that the customer did not intentionally urge the students to score more goals after knowing for sure that the victory was in hand
"My boss told the players that we should only put pressure when the home team is winning big, but opponent Benicalap C is too eager to attack and leaves many gaps in front of the goal," the lawyer shared.
With a 0-25 defeat to U11 Serranos B, U11 Benicalap C is at the bottom of the table in this year's Valencia City Youth Championship rankings. After 30 matches, they have an unimaginably poor record of scoring 0 goals and conceding 247 goals.
