In addition to Thanh Thuy, middle blocker Tran Thi Bich Thuy is also expected to return home on the same day.
Tran Thi Thanh Thuy is playing for Gunma Green Wings (Japan) while Tran Thi Bich Thuy is playing for Okayama Seagulls (Japan). This is the first time that the Vietnamese women's volleyball team has two players competing in the National Championship in Japan.
Tran Thi Thanh Thuy is the captain of the Vietnam women's volleyball team in the training phase, doing professional duties in early 2025. This striker has participated in the AVC Nations Cup, VTV Cup, SEA V.League and World Championship with the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team. After that, this hitter went to Japan to compete.
Thanh Thuy is likely to continue to be trusted as the captain of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team participating in the 33rd SEA Games. At the 32nd SEA Games, the main striker took on this role.
Meanwhile, middle blocker Bich Thuy has also participated in international tournaments since the beginning of the year with the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team.
Team members are training in Vinh Long. On December 8, the whole team went to Thailand to participate in the 33rd SEA Games. Thus, Thanh Thuy and Bich Thuy have nearly a week of training with teammates before the official competition.
