On the afternoon of October 13, goalkeeper Kiran Chemjong represented Nepalese players with coach Matt Ross at a press conference before the match with the Vietnam team in the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup.
Speaking to the media, the captain goalkeeper of the Nepal team hoped that he and his teammates would have a good performance against the Vietnam team when having all the players on the field.

"Regarding the match, I'm really looking forward to it. In the previous match, we lost 1-3, I think the turning point of the match was a red card. With this match, we hope to show our best to the Vietnamese audience. This is an opportunity for the Nepal team to experience the atmosphere of a large audience. We try to have a good match against the Vietnam team, of course with the 11 vs 11 position, not the 11 vs 10 position as in the previous match.
For me, the Vietnamese players have quality crosses. In the last match, I did as well as I could. After the match, we analyzed the crossing and the attack direction of the Vietnam team. Hopefully with these analysis, we can play well against the Vietnam team tomorrow," goalkeeper Kiran Chemjong shared.
Kiran Chemjong also expressed his desire to change his shirt with his colleague on the Vietnam national team, Dang Van Lam.
He said: "We like to change clothes with our colleagues. In the previous match, Van Lam started talking to me, asking about stories about my country and family. He is a good man. We talked happily. If possible, I want to change clothes with him."
The match between the Nepal team and the Vietnam team will take place at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow (October 14) at Thong Nhat Stadium.
