The Vietnam team will have a rematch with the Nepal team in the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup at Thong Nhat Stadium at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow (October 14). Previously, on October 9, coach Kim Sang-sik's team had a 3-1 victory over this opponent.
Speaking at a press conference before the match on the afternoon of October 13, coach Kim Sang-sik said that the goal of the Vietnam team in the upcoming match at Thong Nhat Stadium is nothing other than 3 points. He also hopes striker Nguyen Tien Linh will score many goals in this match.

"In the match on October 9, the team won 3-1, in the match tomorrow we aim to win. The Vietnamese team will try to play confidently. In tomorrow's match, I think the opponent will retreat deep to defend, so I will ask the players to attack, coordinate more well, especially with more accurate finishing. Tomorrow, I will play at Thong Nhat Stadium, so I hope the players will play a dedicated match.
First, to win big tomorrow, I hope Tien Linh can score many goals. In the previous match, according to statistics, the Vietnam team had 24 chances and scored 3 goals. To score more goals in tomorrow's match, we have prepared, especially in the finishing step, which needs to be calmer and more accurate.
I believe my position on the pitch is capable of scoring more goals in tomorrow's match. Tomorrow, scoring many goals is an important goal, but more importantly, the defense must not concede. That is the biggest goal in tomorrow's match," coach Kim Sang-sik shared.
Coach Kim Sang-sik also left open the possibility of using U23 players in tomorrow's match: "For safety in the previous match, I have not used U23 players. I cannot reveal the details of the upcoming match yet, but the coaching staff and I are also planning to use U23 players. Some U23 players are capable enough to compete for a starting position and perform well in tomorrow's match".
Also attending the pre-match press conference with coach Kim Sang-sik is striker Nguyen Tien Linh. Sharing with the media, the striker born in 1997 also said that the Vietnamese team is aiming for a good result against Nepal to give to the audience present at Thong Nhat Stadium.

" Tomorrow is the second leg of the Asian Cup qualifiers of the Vietnam team. After the match with good results against Nepal 4 days ago, the Vietnam team is showing a positive face. The whole team is showing more desire and determination to play than in the last match.
It has been a long time since the team returned to Thong Nhat, so the audience will be large. The Vietnam team aims to win all 3 points to give to the fans at Thong Nhat Stadium," Tien Linh emphasized.
