The Vietnam futsal team will open their journey at the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship with a confrontation with Kuwait, in the context that coach Diego Giustozzi's team aims to win all 3 points to create an early advantage in Group B.
Despite affirming his high determination, the Argentine strategist also emphasized that this is not an easy challenge when Asian teams all have careful preparation and a determined fighting spirit. Before the opening match, Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Tran Anh Tu directly met, encouraged and assigned tasks to the Vietnamese futsal team before the opening match against Kuwait at 5:00 PM on January 27 at the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship finals. VFF leaders acknowledged the serious preparation of the whole team, and emphasized the requirements of fighting spirit, bravery and desire to contribute. The immediate goal of the Vietnamese futsal team is to pass the group stage, reach the quarter-finals and strive to go deep in the tournament.
