Vice President Tran Anh Tu's working trip took place right after he and the U23 Vietnam team completed their tasks at the 2026 AFC U23 Championship finals. Before the final training session of the Vietnam futsal team, preparing for the opening match against the Kuwaiti futsal team at 5:00 PM on January 27, VFF leaders directly met, encouraged and assigned tasks to coach Diego Giustozzi and his team.
On behalf of the VFF leaders, Vice President Tran Anh Tu acknowledged the serious preparation of the whole team, and emphasized the requirements of fighting spirit, bravery and fighting spirit throughout the journey at the tournament. He recalled the resilient fighting images of U23 Vietnam, especially in the third-place match with U23 Korea, considering it a mirror of the spirit of not letting go for the Vietnamese futsal team to follow.
Vice President Tran Anh Tu emphasized that in the context of playing in the continental arena, the element of spirit, focus and aspiration to contribute is crucial. The more difficulties face, the more players need to show their bravery, seeing it as the foundation for the Vietnamese futsal team to aim for higher goals at the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship finals.
In addition to encouraging, VFF leaders also assigned specific tasks to the whole team. The immediate goal of the Vietnamese futsal team is to win the right to enter the quarterfinals, thereby striving to go as deep as possible in the tournament. Vice President Tran Anh Tu noted that the first match in the group stage against Kuwait and Lebanon is decisive, requiring players to maintain high concentration and play with the highest sense of responsibility.
Immediately after the working session, the Vietnamese futsal team entered tactical training. Coach Diego Giustozzi spent most of his time completing plans for the match against Kuwait, directly directing in detail about the organization of the playing style, movement and coordination between positions, to ensure tightness in defense and efficiency in attack, ready for the opening match at the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship finals.
