After the training session, captain Nguyen Manh Dung affirmed that the whole team has completed the preparation stage and is ready to embark on the journey to conquer the continental arena.
Assessing the competition conditions, Nguyen Manh Dung said that the gymnasium met professional requirements well. However, the court surface has certain differences compared to the previous training ground.

He shared: "The gymnasium space is very beautiful, the lighting is good, but the surface here is different from the team's training ground, the ball is not smooth and slightly curling. Being arranged for a familiarization training session will help the whole team adjust the ball feel and handle situations better.
Taking advantage of up to 60 minutes of training according to the arrangement of the organizers, coach Diego Giustozzi allowed his students to deploy many tactical contents, focusing on group coordination and playing style organization. The training session is considered an important review step to help the Vietnamese futsal team quickly adapt to the official playground before the opening match.
Speaking about the preparation process for the tournament, Nguyen Manh Dung said that the team has prepared carefully both physically and professionally. "We have gone through a good training process, having two quality friendly matches with Afghanistan to check the force and intensity of the competition," he shared.

The captain of Vietnam futsal also said that when present in Indonesia, the whole team maintains professional meetings to draw experience and improve the playing style, aiming for the best results.
A noteworthy point at the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship finals is that the force of the Vietnamese futsal team has about 2/3 players participating in the continental tournament for the first time. However, Nguyen Manh Dung expressed his belief in his young teammates: "Young players show confidence, good spirit and increasingly improved expertise".
In the group stage, the Vietnamese futsal team will successively face Thailand, Kuwait and Lebanon. Commenting on the opponents, Nguyen Manh Dung said that the group stage is not a small challenge: "These are all very strong teams. In the Asian arena, all opponents are highly qualified.
