Vietnam women's team ends training in Japan

After 10 days of training in Japan, on the morning of June 18, the Vietnam women's team returned home, continuing to prepare for the 2026 Asian Women's qualifiers.

In Osaka (Japan), the Vietnam women's team had 3 friendly matches with 2 wins and 1 draw. Evaluating the training trip, head coach Mai Duc Chung said that the whole team has completed the set goals well.

During the 10 days in Japan, the weather in the locality was cool, the food here was also suitable for taste, so the players' physical strength was significantly improved. The whole team, from young players to the big sisters, has maintained a stable and enthusiastic performance during the training sessions as well as the recent friendly matches, coach Mai Duc Chung shared.

Although the "blue teams" of the Vietnamese women's team in this training session are not strong opponents, coach Mai Duc Chung said that the level of Japanese women's football is still better than Vietnam and in line with the professional plan of the coaching staff.

The recent opponents have helped the Vietnamese players improve their individual techniques as well as team coordination and team coordination. The good news is that after the matches, no players were injured, preserving the force for the upcoming tournament, said coach Mai Duc Chung.

The whole team was dispatched to the airport to return to Vietnam on the morning of June 18. According to the plan, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will go straight from Noi Bai airport to Viet Tri city (Phu Tho) to enter the final stage, completing preparations for the 2026 Asian Women's qualifiers.

In the final training week on Viet Tri, the team will continue to improve the players' physical strength. The coaching staff has a main squad as well as specific personnel plans for replacements in each upcoming match, coach Mai Duc Chung added.
