Accordingly, Thaigroup Group has proposed to the leaders of Ninh Binh province to implement the Football Academy Project according to the La Masia model (Spain) in Ninh Binh. The football academy will be built to 3-star standards, recognized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
The football academy in Ninh Binh is expected to be built on an area of nearly 90 hectares in Hoa Lu city (Ninh Binh). Of which, the construction area is more than 30 hectares. At the same time, this facility is expected to be named LPBank Dinh Tien Hoang De Football Academy.
On May 30, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ninh Binh province said that regarding the investment policy of the Football Academy Project according to the La Masia model in Ninh Binh of ThaiGroup Corporation, Ninh Binh province has agreed and welcomed the investment of ThaiGroup Corporation in the field of football training in Ninh Binh.
"Recently, my delegation and the provincial working delegation and the leaders of ThaiGroup Corporation visited and worked at the legendary La Masia Academy of Barcelona Club in Spain to negotiate with the parties on cooperation in investing in the Football Academy Project under the La Masia model in Ninh Binh" - Mr. Cuong said.
According to Mr. Cuong, ThaiGroup is currently coordinating with specialized agencies of Ninh Binh province to implement the steps of project establishment, selecting construction locations... with the readiness to "create all conditions" from Ninh Binh province, along with the expectation of "developing sports in the home province", the future of an international football academy in Ninh Binh will become a reality.
"The choice of construction location must be in accordance with the general planning of the province. However, due to the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units, construction cannot be implemented in 2025" - Mr. Cuong added.
With the goal of achieving 3-star standards and being recognized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the football academy in Ninh Binh promises to become a leading professional player training center in the region, contributing positively to the sustainable development of the country's football.
