At noon on September 26, at Military Region 7 Gymnasium (HCMC), the final round of the 2025 10-Ball Men's World Championship (2025 Predator WPA Men's 10-Ball World Championship) continued with a series of matches in the Last 16 round to find 8 players to participate in the quarter-finals.
The hope of Vietnamese billiards - player Duong Quoc Hoang enters a tense confrontation with Aloysius Yapp, Singapore's number one player in very good form in 2025 with many major titles.

In the first set, Duong Quoc Hoang started confidently. He played solidly, taking advantage of the opponent's errors to win 1-0. In set 2, a turning point occurred when the Vietnamese player slipped the number 10 ball in the opening game. Yapp did not miss the opportunity, continuously scoring to win 4-3, equalizing the score.
In set 3, Yapp took an early 3-0 lead and seemed to finish quickly. However, Quoc Hoang showed his mettle, equalizing 3-3. However, a mistake in the decisive game caused him to lose 3-4, thereby being led 2-1 by the opponent.
Unable to accept stopping, the 1987-born player rose strongly in set 4. He lost only 1 game and won 4-1, bringing the match into the deciding set 5.

In the final set, the two players struggled for each point, drew 3-3 and had to determine the winner by penalty shootout. Here, Quoc Hoang missed one, while Yapp successfully completed all 4 shots. In the end, the Singaporean won 3-2, winning a ticket to the quarter-finals against Shane Van Boening (USA).
Right after the Last 16 round, the players will enter the quarter-final match on the afternoon of September 26. Athletes who have qualified for the quarter-finals include: Carlo Biado (Philippines), Oliver Szolnoki (Hungary), Ko Ping Chung (Taiwan, China), Shane Van Boening (USA), Marco Teutscher (Netherlands), Alex Kazakhstanis (Germany), Mark Estiola (Philippines) and Aloysius Yapp (Singapore).
In parallel with the men's tournament, on September 26, the Poison Cues Saigon Women's 9-Ball Open 9-Ball Open International 9-Ball Women's Tournament will also have a final match at 8:00 p.m. The two players competing for the championship in this tournament are Rubilen Amit (Philippines) and Tzu-Chien Wei (Taiwan, China).
