The Sports Festival of the People's Procuracy sector - Law Protection Newspaper Cup XIV in 2026 officially opened at the Ninh Binh Provincial Sports and Physical Training Center.
The activity is organized on the occasion of celebrating major holidays of the year and towards the 66th anniversary of the traditional day of the People's Procuracy sector (July 26, 1960 - July 26, 2026).
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quang Dung - Deputy Director of the Supreme People's Procuracy, Chairman of the Culture and Sports Council of the People's Procuracy sector - emphasized that after 13 times of organization, the Sports Festival of the People's Procuracy sector is not just an amateur sports tournament but has become a traditional activity imbued with the identity of the People's Procuracy sector; a place to converge the spirit of solidarity, striving will, culture of behavior and professional pride of generations of Procuracy officials across the country.
Through each organization period, the scale, professional quality and spread of the Sports Festival are increasingly improved, becoming one of the typical cultural and sports activities expected by a large number of officials, civil servants, public employees and workers throughout the Sector.

The annual sports festival gathered 38 delegations with nearly 700 athletes from units throughout the industry.
The tournament organizes 53 events belonging to 3 sports: badminton, table tennis and pickleball. The events are divided into 5 age groups to create conditions for a large number of officials, civil servants, public employees and workers in the industry to participate in the competition.


Participants are officials, civil servants, public employees and employees in the People's Procuracy sector. Each unit establishes an athlete delegation, including the Supreme People's Procuracy, the Central Military Procuracy, 34 provincial-level People's Procuracies, Hanoi Procuracy University and the Branch of the Procuracy University in Ho Chi Minh City.
The organizing committee also mobilized 97 referees to officiate matches, and at the same time prepared 194 sets of medals to award to collectives and individuals with high achievements.
