The opening program of the 9th Vietnam International Traditional Martial Arts Festival - Gia Lai 2026 with the theme "Vietnamese Traditional Martial Arts - Radiant Essence" will take place on the evening of August 2nd at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square (Quy Nhon ward).
The opening night promises to bring a unique art space, where national spirit, the quintessence of martial arts and Vietnamese cultural identity blend in elaborately and modernly staged performances.
This is also an opportunity for Gia Lai to promote the image of a land rich in cultural traditions, friendly, hospitable and dynamic to domestic and international friends.
The program gathers international martial arts delegations from France, Italy, Russia, Morocco, China, Algeria, Switzerland, Germany, Burkina Faso, Thailand... along with dozens of martial arts delegations from provinces and cities across the country, affirming the increasingly strong spread of Vietnamese traditional martial arts in the international arena.
After the ritual part, the art program with the theme "Vietnamese Traditional Martial Arts - Radiant Essence" was staged into 3 chapters: "Echoes of Vietnamese Spirit", "Binh Dinh Traditional Martial Arts - Gathering and Spreading" and "Vietnamese Traditional Martial Arts - Shining Essence".
The 9th Vietnam International Traditional Martial Arts Festival is a playground for exchange and performance of martial arts sects at home and abroad, and also a large-scale cultural and tourism event, contributing to promoting the image of the country, people of Vietnam and Gia Lai province to international friends.
