It is almost certain that the regulations on registering foreign players in the 2026 National Volleyball Championship have not changed and only 1 player is allowed to play at any time.

According to Lao Dong's research, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation almost certainly does not have a new decision on the regulations on registration and competition for foreign players at the 2026 National Championship.

Current regulations of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, each team participating in the National Championship is allowed to register a maximum of 2 foreign players. However, only 1 foreign player is allowed to enter the field at any time.

The regulation applies when the Vietnam Volleyball Federation allows foreign players to compete in Vietnam from 2022.

Recently, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation sent a document asking for opinions from 16 teams of the 2026 National Championship to discuss the regulations on registering foreign players.

The proposals in the document of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation for comments include: allowing the transfer of 1 athlete to the stadium, 1 athlete; allowing the transfer of 2 athletes, 1 athlete to the stadium (as at present); allowing the transfer of 2 athletes, 2 athletes to the stadium; allowing the transfer of 3 athletes, 2 athletes to the stadium; other opinions.
