On September 6th, at Lang Nuong communal house yard, the Yen Tu Ultra Trail 2026 off-road race closed after 3 days of competition.
The Organizing Committee awarded 74 prizes to male and female athletes who achieved results in various distances.
Taking place from September 4 to 6, the tournament is co-organized by Yen Tu Ward People's Committee, Quang Ninh City Journalists Association and Great Race Vietnam with the theme "Discovering heritage - Spreading quintessence".
Compared to the first season in 2025, this year's tournament adds the Viên Giác distance of 70km, in addition to the Phù Vân 50km, Trúc Lâm 25km, Hành Giả 15km and Bồ Đề 5km distances.
About 2,000 domestic and international amateur and professional athletes participate in the tournament.
The routes have diverse terrain, with many trails, rocky slopes, passing through pine and bamboo forests of Yen Tu, posing challenges in terms of physical strength and technique for runners.
On the last day of competition today (September 6), about 1,200 athletes competed in two distances of 15km and 5km. Previously, the 70km, 50km and 25km events took place on off-road routes through Yen Tu mountains and forests.
The race is part of a series of activities "Yen Tu - Autumn in Meditation", combining sports competitions with landscape and cultural experiences at the Yen Tu relic and scenic area.
