After 2 days of exciting competition, the 2026 Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association Open Tennis Tournament has closed with many exciting matches, contributing to strengthening exchanges between journalists, partner units and tennis-loving communities.
The tournament was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association on June 13 and 14 to celebrate the 101st anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2026). The tournament was attended by 92 athletes from 18 press agencies, local Journalists Associations, Ho Chi Minh City Police forces, tennis federations and some businesses.
According to the organizers, the tournament continues to maintain its appeal with high professional quality, many dramatic matches and attractive competitions in the competition contents.
Journalist Le Huu Phuoc - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee - said that the tournament has created a useful playground for journalists, partners and tennis lovers. Many attractive matches took place, with good professional quality and received positive responses from participating units.
In the competition events, many new faces have made their mark. Two pairs of SCTV athletes competed successfully in the men's doubles press - business event. Meanwhile, the players of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper continued to affirm their strengths in the men's doubles press event. Becamex Group also had a successful tournament when they achieved high results in the leaders and mixed doubles events.
Besides, many experienced players such as Le Hai, Vuong Quyen, Do Van Luy, Le Phi Hung, Duong Thanh Ba, Nguyen Minh Vy, Thai Tuan Kieu and Ngo Quang Hanh continued to leave their mark with impressive performances.
